Dopo numerosi test e perfezionamenti, siamo orgogliosi di presentare il nostro concetto di tavola foil più dinamico fino ad oggi:

• Distribuzione del volume ottimizzata per un approccio facile, partenze stabili e una navigazione perfettamente bilanciata, indipendentemente dalle condizioni
• Outline più lungo e stretto per generare una spinta iniziale, accelerare in modo naturale e ridurre al minimo la resistenza per una navigazione più veloce ed efficiente
• Larghezza più snella per una maggiore agilità, consentendo transizioni più fluide da un rail all’altro e un maggiore controllo durante le manovre di carving, sia che si stia volando con winging o surfando proni
• Forme 3D a bassa resistenza che aiutano a mantenere un controllo fluido con venti rafficati o acque agitate, soprattutto quando si vola con un parawing
• Deck concavo con grip a diamante per offrire un posizionamento migliore dei piedi e una trazione ottimale durante le manovre aggressive di carving o quando si cavalcano le onde
• Costruzioni adattive per un perfetto rapporto resistenza/peso, garantendo durata e prestazioni senza peso superfluo

Per i modelli più grandi della nostra gamma, i volumi più elevati offrono più di una semplice tavola foil: sono una scelta alternativa per le discese in SUP foil downwind o per la pratica del SUP foil in spiaggia rompe, offrendo il galleggiamento e la stabilità extra necessari per le lunghe distanze o per cavalcare le onde. Con una gamma completa di misure e la geometria raffinata di una tavola di media lunghezza, troverai la soluzione perfetta per il tuo stile di guida, che tu voglia spingerti oltre i limiti con il parawing, andare downwind su un foil o tagliare le onde.

DESIGN

We are currently seeing three trends for DW boards worldwide:

• Racing DW boards, from 8’2 to 9’6 feet, generally quite narrow
• Freeride/Crossover DW boards from 7’4 to 8’2, from 19 to 23 inches in width
• the biggest sizes of mid lenght wing boards, from 90 L and above

Our DW-X boards are Downwind Crossover SUP foil boards.
They are designed to propose the best compromise between carving, efficiency at take-off, pumping and speed.
Thanks to the front straps inserts from 77 to 111 l, you can also enjoy wingfoiling and downwind winging with the Vee front straps.
We decided to skip the back strap inserts to allow you to place your backfoot freely on the deck when pumping in free-fly which provides better comfort and accuracy in pitch.

TAKE OFF

Any downwinders dream is to take off with minimum effort. Being comfortable cruising, daring new runs, falling and taking off again will revolutionise your personal DW experience. The main priority for this new generation of downwind boards was to create shapes that allow you to take off in any situation, whether it’s flat, choppy, with swell or cross wind – So you can enjoy your runs without stress and discomfort and just enjoy the moment.

 

‌ REDUCED PLANING SURFACE
Reduced hull surface with sharp mini bevels enhance the acceleration. This innovative design offers a great hull stability while balancing plus an effortless planing during take off. Direction changes during take offs on a wave feel intuitive on this shape.

‌ SMART WIDTH
Wide enough to be comfortable in rough seas or if you are a DW beginner. For the more advanced rider, the specific hull design and shape features of this board will still provide ultra low drag to take off on small and fast foils. Being stable on the board allows you to paddle extremely hard and powerful even when small roll mistakes happen accidentially.

‌ CUTOUT KICK TAIL
Kick tail to optimise the tail water release while pumping hard on the take off as a catching tail would slow you down and push the board nose downwards. The 90 degree mini tail cutout makes the water rip off the hull surface and reduces the drag of the board futher.

‌ RAKED DECK RECESS
Deck recess with a unique progressive rake provides an optimised angle for take off which varies once you reposition your feet from take off stance to riding and carving.

‌ DECK FOOT LOCK
Thanks to the deck recess shape your front foot will be locked just behind the front bump making it impossible to slip foward. As a consequence, you can transfer your energy to the board and foil with more efficiency.

‌ VEE-DECK TAIL SHAPE
The board can breach the water surface better when you push the tail into the water during extreme paddling and pumping. As the water flows off easily you don’t lose energy by your tail getting “stuck” in the water.

‌ BOTTOM MINI CHANNELS
One of the issues you face as a beginner is positioning your board in the correct angle while paddling max power during take off. The mini channels improve the board tracking in the early take off phase significantly without locking the board in too much before you start the flight.

‌ FOIL TRACKS RECESS
Significant reduction of drag during take off when your mast is being positioned to the front of the foil tracks as it make the water “jump” and flow over the base plate of your mast. Much softer touch downs with reduced drag. The board will slow down less helping you to keep your balance when your board hits the water surface in sharp turns, on bigger waves or simply when things get a bit hectic at high speeds.

‌ PROGRESSIVE ROCKER LINES
Tense rocker line with the perfect balance of accelleration and carving. More rocker on the small sizes for more advanced riders and extreme conditions. A more relaxed rocker on the big sizes for even earlier flight.

TAKE OFF & FLIGHT

‌ TAKE-OFF FEATURES

Forward widepoint: The max width near the front foot position and added nose volume gives you a more tolerant pumping and prevents you from sinking the nose too easily.

Longitudinal deck recess: Offers grip and forward transmission of any wind generated power. The specfic rake for each volume allows an optimized glide and body position to accelerate before take off.

Drop shape outline: The result is in a perfect water release, horizontally (thinner exit) and vertically (when the tail sinks while pumping)

Adaptive Rails: Going from smooth rails at the nose (provides a balanced combo of drive/tolerance while planing) to sharper vertical rails at the tail ( provides planning skills and water realase at take off)

Foil Track Recess: This feature reduces the drag by the foil base plate. Set the foil foward for max. effect.

Progressive tense rocker line: Providing the perfect ratio between easy glide and agressive pumping.

35/45/55

These small 35 /45 boards are meant to be used in strong winds or work extremely well for kids, youth and light weight riders. The middle front strap option is ideal for strapped tow-in foiling or prone surf foiling. Built strong and light, these boards will bring extreme maneuvrability, grip and accuracy while riding. They are the only sizes in the range coming without foil box recess to allow the use of the electric Foil Drive or similar e-Foil systems.

The WB-X 55 is your perfect all-in-one board, thanks to its very versatile width of 20’6 inches and moderate length. Use it as:
– as a prone surf foil board for heavy intermediate riders, or for light weight beginners
– as a freestyle board for medium weight riders
– as a freeride board which you can push in big waves with the wing
– as a racing board for light weight riders with the deep tuttle option (T)
The foil box recess reduces drag and turbulences from the mast base plate at take off and at touch downs and gives you a much smoother riding experience.

65/75/85

These three volumes are bigger versions of the 55 l concept. They are for medium and heavy intermediate riders or simply for beginners who want to step down from their 100+ L beginner board. Race, freeride, freestyle and waves – these boards can do it all.
When prone foiling, they will ensure easy paddling and effortless take off for beginners in small waves thanks to some extra volume.
Progressive bevels combined with a pin tail outline garantee smooth touch downs at high speeds.
Note: These boards can be ordered with the deep tuttle option (T) to be able to use Race foils and Kite foils with Tuttle box connection.

95/105

Their length of 5’8.5 and 5’11 feet gives early planning and good pitch stability in the air while being still short enough to have great carving abilities.
These two models 95 and 105 L are the right choice for light wind session with medium and big foils. Moderate width makes foot switches comfortable, while still allowing snappy turns and flowy carving. The increased nose V compared to small sizes gives an even smoother behavior at take off and at touch downs. It implies a slight nose volume reduction which helps to keep a nice weight distribution and good swing weight balance.

115/135

These three boards are ideal for beginners and freeriders who want to take off smoothly while feeling balanced and light in the air. Once in the air these boards will feel smaller than they are. During starts the extra volume gives you comfort, stabilty and some extra safety.
The foil box recess and our signature outline and rocker line result in excellent glide. These boards generate speed with minimum effort and shine during take off.
Additionally, they have more room for progression. Combine your board with an intermediate foil and continue to enjoy! Paired with a smaller foil, these boards work great once you progress towards jibing, tacking and carving.
